Late-stage Product Development and Global Launch of a Children’s Furniture Accessory

One of the product development projects I worked on as a project manager in Stokke. The product was an accessory product for the iconic Tripp Trapp chair. A convenient storage solution that easily attaches to the back of the children’s chair. Perfect for keeping things like toys and bibs within reach for kids and parents.

I managed a cross-functional team from the design freeze, meaning taking the approved design into production and successfully launching it on the global market. This included sourcing of a supplier, packaging design, planning of launch campaign, production start-up, and sell-in with vendors worldwide.

My work consisted of making sure the team had what they needed to work, manage the project budget, organize and keep track of timelines for all activities (using Smartsheet and Meisterplan), and reporting and presenting to management on project status according to the Stage-Gate Model.

The team delivered the project on time and within budget despite having gone through a complete product team change.
