For creative problem solving or just about any challenge I face, I need to think with my hands. In the classroom, I will be the one sketching to pay better attention, and in the meeting rooms, I will most likely take the whiteboard marker and make notes and small sketches for what we are talking about. Here is a collection of some of the drawings I’ve produced, from a rough first draft used in client meetings to an animation used for a promotion.

Sometimes stock photos or icons don’t communicate exactly what you need it to. That’s why I often sketch out what I need to communicate ideas to a client or a user.

After an interview with, for example, a stakeholder, I find it very useful to make a visual overview of the main insights like below. This is a sketched one-page summary from an interview to rethink Acumen’s Fellowship program in Spain.
